Feeding the Fish

Founded in 1996, Feeding the Fish are the pioneers of bespoke LED performance — inventors and patent-holders of Pixel-Poi®, the light batons that draw crisp images, animations and client logos in mid-air during a live show. The company of sixteen artists is led by Artistic Director Alix Wilding and Technical Director Simon Mylius, based in London with a second team in Berlin. They have performed in 57 countries and over 400 cities: the London 2012 Paralympics Closing Ceremony, the Baku 2017 Closing Ceremony with a 31-artist Pixel-Poi show, Formula 1 in Bahrain, the MTV Awards, the Great Pyramids of Egypt and eight consecutive years at Glastonbury — plus a Detroit Motor Show appearance alongside Cirque du Soleil. Forbes called their Zoom hoverboard act "the most amazing thing you'll see today." The repertoire spans named productions — Kaleidoscope's laser-and-logo-reveal show, Supernova's video-mapped Pixel Video Suits®, Zoom's LED hoverboard dance act and the Glide-About walkabout — and every show can integrate a client's logo, brand colours and custom animations.
