MANIA: The ABBA Tribute

Created in 1999, MANIA has spent a quarter of a century turning ABBA's catalogue into a full theatre spectacular — more than three thousand concerts across thirty-five countries and every continent. The show has held two London West End residencies: eighteen weeks at the Strand Theatre in 2002 and a return run at the Shaftesbury Theatre in 2021. It won the Radio Regenbogen award for best musical of 2002, played twenty-four consecutive nights at Berlin's Schiller Theatre, sold ten thousand tickets in a single night at Cologne Arena, and featured in a pan-European television special marking thirty years since "Waterloo" that drew over eleven million viewers, with Björn Ulvaeus himself appearing. Annual US national tours have run since 2009. Sky News summed it up: close your eyes and it could be ABBA. Live band, period costume and theatre-grade staging, scaled for a gala stage or a ballroom.
